How to Bulk Add Contacts to a Workflow
You can add many contacts to a workflow by hand instead of waiting for a trigger. This is useful for a one-off campaign or a group you've already filtered.
Only published workflows show up in the list.
Before you start
- Make sure the workflow is published and its steps are right.
- Check the workflow's re-entry setting if some contacts were in it before.
- Filter out contacts who are on Do Not Disturb if the workflow sends messages.
Add contacts
- Go to Contacts and filter the list, or open a Smart List.
- Select the contacts.
- Click the Add to Automation action.
- Choose Add to Workflow and pick the workflow.
- Choose when to enroll them:
- Now enrolls everyone right away.
- Schedule enrolls everyone at a date and time you pick.
- Drip Mode enrolls them in batches, for example 50 every hour.
- Name the action and confirm.
Track progress
Open Bulk Actions to see the status, timing, and counts. Any errors, such as contacts that were skipped, are listed there. You can also open the workflow's enrollment history to see who entered.
Tips
Save the filter as a Smart List if you'll use the same group again. Use Drip Mode for large sends so replies and calls come in at a pace your team can handle.
