How to Verify Emails During Contact Import

You can check email addresses while you import contacts instead of running a separate check later. Invalid addresses are flagged so you can leave them out of email sends.
Verification helps you avoid bounces. It can't promise that every valid address will land in the inbox.

Turn it on

  1. Go to Contacts and click Import.
  2. Upload your file and map the fields as usual.
  3. On the final step, tick the email verification checkbox.
  4. Start the import.

Track it

Open Bulk Actions. The verification shows as Processing while it runs and Completed when it's done. Each contact's email then shows its verification result on the contact record.

Cost

Email verification is a paid, per-address service billed to your account. Check the estimate shown before you start the import.

Tips

  • Remove obvious bad rows from your CSV first to save credits.
  • Build a Smart List of contacts with invalid emails and clean them up or exclude them from campaigns.
