Configure Unsubscribe Flows: One-Step, Two-Step and Dynamic
What unsubscribe flows are
An unsubscribe flow controls what happens after a recipient clicks your unsubscribe link: whether they're removed right away or asked to confirm first.
The options
- One-Step: the contact is unsubscribed as soon as they click the link. They can then leave optional feedback.
- Two-Step: the contact must confirm before the unsubscribe is completed.
- Dynamic: works like One-Step, except when the link is clicked within 5 minutes of the email being delivered. Then a confirmation step is shown. This protects you from security scanners and bots that click every link in new emails.
Set your flow
The setting applies to all emails sent from your account.
- Go to Marketing → Emails → Campaigns.
- Click the Settings gear icon.
- Select Unsubscribe.
- Choose One Step, Two Step or Dynamic.
- Click Preview to see what contacts will see.
- Click Save.
Changing the flow doesn't change where your unsubscribe link appears or how it looks. You manage that in your email footer.
