Set Up Sender Preferences in the Email Builder

What sender preferences are

Sender preferences are account-wide defaults that fill in the sender details and test recipients when you create new campaigns and send tests.

The fields

  • Sender name: the name recipients see, such as your business name.
  • Sender email: the From address. It may need to be verified first, and it must still pass sending-domain checks.
  • Test recipient(s): up to 5 email addresses, separated by commas, that get your test emails.
  • Custom reply: a different address for replies. If you leave it blank, replies go to the sender email.
Where you see a tag icon, you can use custom values instead of fixed text.

Set them up

  1. Go to Marketing → Emails → Campaigns.
  2. Click the Settings gear icon and open Sender Preferences.
  3. Fill in the fields you want prefilled.
  4. Click Save.

How they're used

New campaigns and test sends start with these defaults. You can still change them on any campaign. Changing your preferences doesn't update campaigns you've already created.
