Use the Plain Text Editor for Emails
What it is
The Plain Text Editor lets you write simple, text-focused emails that feel like a personal message rather than a designed newsletter.
When to use it
- One-to-one style sales or follow-up emails
- Personal check-ins and notes from the owner
- Short updates where the words matter more than the design
- Emails where you want to look less like marketing
Create a plain-text template
- Go to Marketing → Emails → Templates.
- Click New and choose Blank Template.
- Select Plain Text Editor.
- Write your message. You can add links and custom values such as
{{contact.first_name}}. - Save.
Use it in a campaign or a workflow email like any other template.
Plain text vs. other editors
- Plain Text Editor: words only, minimal formatting.
- Design Editor: drag-and-drop layouts with images, buttons and columns.
- Code Editor: full control with your own HTML.
