Manage Members in Community Groups

Member management keeps your community organized and safe. You choose who can do what.

Member roles

| Role | What they can do | | --- | --- | | Owner | Everything, including group settings, billing, and deleting the group | | Admin | Manage settings, members, channels, and content | | Moderator | Manage posts and comments, approve members | | Contributor | Post, comment, and like (a regular member) |

Invite members

  1. Open the group and go to Members.
  2. Click Invite.
  3. Enter email addresses or choose contacts, and pick their role.
  4. Send the invite.
To invite many people at once, import them or use a workflow with the Grant group access action. That's also the way to add new customers automatically after they buy.

Change roles and access

Open the member list, click the member, and choose a new role. You can also suspend access without removing them.

Contact info visibility

Choose whether members can see each other's email and phone. Turn it off to protect privacy.

Remove a member

Click the member, then Remove. They lose access right away. Their past posts stay unless you delete them.

Moving from another community

Export your member list from your old community as a CSV, import the contacts, then grant group access in bulk or with a workflow.

Common questions

  • The member hasn't joined: check spam folders and resend the invite.
  • Can members invite others? Only owners and admins can invite, unless you share a public join link.
