Tag Channels and Events in Community Posts
You can tag a channel or event in a post or comment. The tag becomes a clickable link, so members go straight to the right discussion or event.
Where you can use tags
- New posts
- Comments and replies
Tag a channel or event
- Start writing a post or comment.
- Type
#and start typing the name of a channel or event. - Choose it from the list.
- Finish your message and publish.
Who sees what
Members only see channels and events they have access to. If you tag a private channel, members without access can't open it.
Best practices
- Tag your upcoming event in announcement posts to boost sign-ups.
- Point new members to the right channel, for example "Ask questions in #help."
- Don't tag too many channels in one post.
