Target Coupons by Product, Price, or Variant
Coupon targeting lets you control exactly what a coupon applies to, without duplicating products or removing variants.
Targeting options
- Product: the coupon works on every price and variant of the product.
- Price: the coupon works only on certain prices, such as the annual price but not the monthly one.
- Variant: the coupon works only on certain variants, such as one size or color.
Set it up
- Go to Payments > Coupons and create or edit a coupon.
- In the applies-to section, pick the products.
- For each product, choose all prices and variants, or select specific ones.
- Save.
At checkout
The discount only applies to items that match. If the cart has nothing that matches, the coupon is rejected.

Coupon triggers can be filtered by product, price, and variant, so you can run different follow-ups for each.
