Set Up SMS Verification in Forms and Surveys
SMS verification makes sure people who fill out your form actually have the phone number they enter. They get a one-time code by text and enter it before they submit.
How it works
- The respondent types their phone number and taps Verify phone.
- They get a text with a code.
- They enter the code to confirm the number.
The Phone Verified field in the submission shows whether the number was verified.
Each verification text counts as an outgoing message and is charged like any other text.
Set it up
You need a phone number on your account that can send texts.
- Open the form or survey in the builder.
- Click the Phone field.
- Turn on SMS verification (sometimes shown as Enable verification).
- Choose whether verification is required to submit.
- Save and publish.
Tips
- Use it on forms where a wrong number is costly, such as lead forms you call right away.
- Pair it with a CAPTCHA to cut down spam.
