Protect Your Forms from Spam
FunnelStreams forms have built-in spam protection that looks at signals like IP address and location. For extra protection, use these settings.
1. Add a CAPTCHA
A CAPTCHA blocks bots from sending lots of fake entries. Fake entries clutter your contacts, set off your automations, and cost you money in texts and emails.
- Open the form in the builder.
- Add the Captcha field.
- Save and publish.
This is especially important for forms that start a workflow sending texts or emails.
2. Validate emails and phone numbers
- Turn on email validation to catch fake or mistyped addresses.
- Turn on phone validation, or SMS verification, so only real numbers get through.
3. Limit texts by country
If you only do business in certain countries, limit outgoing texts to those countries in your phone settings. This stops spammers from running up your messaging costs with foreign numbers.
Key takeaways
- Every public form should have a CAPTCHA.
- Validate contact details before your automations send messages.
- Watch your submissions and block patterns you see.
