Connect WhatsApp to Your Account
You can connect WhatsApp in two main ways:
- Your existing WhatsApp Business app (coexistence): keep using the app on your phone, and manage the same chats in FunnelStreams.
- A new WhatsApp Business number: start fresh with a number that isn't on WhatsApp yet.
Coexistence isn't available for numbers from Nigeria or South Africa.
Connect your WhatsApp Business app
Before you start, update the WhatsApp Business app on your phone to the latest version.
- Go to Settings > WhatsApp and click Connect your WhatsApp.
- Follow the steps on screen and click Continue.
- Click Connect a WhatsApp Business App, then Next.
- Enter your WhatsApp Business phone number and click Next.
- Review your WhatsApp Business account details and fix anything that's wrong.
- On your phone, look for a message from the official Facebook Business account and scan the QR code when asked.
- Choose to share your contacts and up to six months of chat history. They sync to FunnelStreams securely.
- Review the details, click Confirm, then Finish.
With coexistence:
- Template messages can only be sent from FunnelStreams, not the WhatsApp Business app.
- You manage your WhatsApp profile in the WhatsApp Business app.
- You can have one coexistence number.
Disconnect coexistence
There's no disconnect option for a coexistence number inside FunnelStreams. Disconnect it from your phone:
- Open the WhatsApp Business app on the phone with that number.
- Go to Settings > Account > Business Platform.
- Tap Disconnect next to the connected platform and confirm.
The number is then no longer connected to FunnelStreams.
