Choose Your WhatsApp Sender Number in Conversations
If you've connected more than one WhatsApp number, you can choose which one sends each message from Conversations.
How the number picker behaves
Depending on the conversation, it may:
- Pre-select the number already used in the conversation
- Let you choose from your connected numbers
- Lock the number when the conversation needs to continue from it
- Ask for an approved template when the chosen number is outside the 24-hour customer service window
The 24-hour window matters most when you switch numbers. A different number may not have an open window with that contact, so you'll need a template to start or reopen the chat.
Set it up
- Go to Settings > WhatsApp and check your WhatsApp account is connected and active.
- Open Numbers to review your connected numbers. Add any you need and make sure each one is connected.
Send from a specific number
- Go to Conversations and open a WhatsApp conversation.
- Use the sender number picker in the message box to choose the From number.
- Write your message, or choose an approved template if one is needed.
- Send.
