Use the WhatsApp Template Library

The WhatsApp template library gives you ready-made message content to start from, instead of writing every template from scratch. The content comes from templates Meta has approved before, but library templates aren't pre-approved for your account. Every template still goes through Meta review.
When you create a template, you can choose:
  • Blank Template: write your own.
  • AI Template: let AI draft it, then review and edit.
  • Use Prebuilt Template: start from the library.

Before you start

  • WhatsApp is connected and set up in your account.
  • You have your business details, media, links, and sample values ready.
  • You have permission to create and edit WhatsApp templates.

Create a template from the library

  1. Go to Settings > WhatsApp > Templates and click Create Template.
  2. Choose Use Prebuilt Template.
  3. Search, sort, or filter by Category, Industry, and Language. Favorite templates to find them again.
  4. Select a template to preview it.
  5. The form fills in for you. Check the name, category, and language, edit the content, and add realistic sample values for any variables.
  6. Submit it.
  7. Check its status in Settings > WhatsApp > Templates.
You're editing your own new copy. The library original doesn't change.
Once approved, use it like any other template in workflows, bulk actions, and Conversations. Creating a template doesn't send it to anyone.
