WhatsApp Call Recording and Transcripts
You can record WhatsApp calls and get written transcripts automatically. Recordings and transcripts show in the contact's conversation, next to their messages. Transcripts show who said what, team member or customer.
Turn it on
- Go to Settings > WhatsApp > Calling and click the phone number.
- Turn on Call Recording and Call Transcript.
- Click Save.
Change the language
- Click the pencil icon.
- Choose the language.
Play recordings
In the conversation you can:
- Play the recording
- Skip to any point
- Speed up playback
- Read the customer's messages while you listen
How teams use it
- Check details: go back over what was discussed before following up.
- Coaching: managers can scan transcripts for questions, objections, and next steps, then listen when tone matters.
- Handovers: a colleague taking over gets the full conversation, not just a short note.
- Notes: use transcripts to write summaries and follow-ups.
