Numbers and setup
Can I use my existing WhatsApp number?
Yes. A number already used on WhatsApp or the WhatsApp Business app can be used. You can keep using the app at the same time with coexistence, or move the number fully, which means deleting the existing WhatsApp account on it first (Settings > Account > Delete my account in WhatsApp).
Can I use my number in FunnelStreams and the WhatsApp Business app at the same time?
Yes, with coexistence. See Connect WhatsApp to Your Account.
Will I lose my data if I move my number fully?
Yes. All WhatsApp data on the number is lost when you delete the account to move it.
How do I back up my chats first?
In WhatsApp, go to Settings > Chats > Chat backup and follow the steps to back up to Google Drive or iCloud.
Coexistence
What app version do I need?
The latest WhatsApp Business app, version 2.24.17 or newer.
Do I need to link my WhatsApp Business account to a Facebook Page?
Yes. You can link them from the WhatsApp Business app.
I connected this number to FunnelStreams before. Can I use coexistence?
You'll need to delete the existing WhatsApp Business account, install the WhatsApp Business app, and sign up again.
Who is coexistence for?
Businesses that mainly use the WhatsApp Business app and want better tools to manage conversations at scale.
Is there a limit on marketing messages with coexistence?
The usual WhatsApp messaging limits apply. See WhatsApp Quality Rating and Messaging Limits.
Delivery
Why did a message fail because the person is "part of an experiment"?
Meta runs a test where a small share of WhatsApp users don't get marketing templates from any business, unless there's an open customer service window, an open marketing conversation, or an open free entry point conversation with them. These messages aren't sent.
How can I improve delivery?

Business verification
Why verify my Meta (Facebook) business?
Verification removes the limits on unverified businesses and lets you grow your messaging limits.
What can I do while I'm not verified?
You can start up to 250 business conversations in a rolling 24 hours, reply to customer-started conversations without limits, and have up to two WhatsApp numbers.
What if verification fails?
You can keep using your WhatsApp number with those limits.
How do I get verified?
Request it in Meta Business Manager. You'll need proof of your legal business and access to the business.
