WhatsApp Error: Maximum Number of Phone Numbers Linked
You may see this error when adding a WhatsApp number:
> You have already linked the maximum number of phone numbers allowed for this Business Account. Delete a phone number to continue or request additional numbers.
The limit applies to your whole Meta business portfolio, not just one WhatsApp Business account. Numbers in all the portfolio's WhatsApp Business accounts count toward it.
Fix it
- In Meta Business Manager, open WhatsApp Manager and review the phone numbers across all your WhatsApp Business accounts in the portfolio.
- Delete numbers you no longer use, or
- Request more numbers from Meta. Verifying your business can raise the limit. Unverified businesses can have up to two numbers.
- Try adding the number again in Settings > WhatsApp.
