Inbound Webhook Trigger

The Inbound Webhook trigger gives your workflow its own web address. When another app sends data to it, the workflow starts and can use that data.

Set it up

  1. Create a workflow and add the Inbound Webhook trigger.
  2. Copy the webhook URL.
  3. In the other app, set it to send data to that URL, usually as a POST request with JSON.
  4. Send a test request from the other app.
  5. Back in the trigger, fetch the sample request so its fields show up.
  6. Map the fields you need, such as email or phone, to find or create the contact.
  7. Add your actions and publish.

Tips

  • Include an email or phone number in the data so the workflow can match a contact.
  • If the data structure changes, fetch a new sample and update your mapping.
