Introduction to Workflows and Automations

Workflows automate tasks you'd otherwise do by hand, like sending follow-ups, tagging contacts, and moving deals.

How a workflow works

  • Triggers start the workflow, such as a form submission, a booked appointment, or a payment.
  • Actions are the steps that run next, such as sending an email or text, adding a tag, waiting, or branching with If/Else.
  • Contacts move through the steps one at a time.

Build your first workflow

  1. Go to Automation > Workflows and click Create Workflow.
  2. Start from scratch or pick a template.
  3. Add a trigger and any filters.
  4. Add your actions.
  5. Test with a sample contact.
  6. Click Publish.

Tips

  • Name workflows clearly so you can find them later.
  • Use the workflow settings to set sending hours and whether contacts can re-enter.
  • Check the execution logs to see what happened for each contact.
