Jira Triggers and Actions in Workflows
Connect Jira Cloud to react to issue changes and send updates to Jira from your workflows. You need an Atlassian account with access to the Jira site and projects.
Connect Jira
- Go to Automation > Workflows and create or open a workflow.
- Add a trigger or action and search for Jira.
- Click Connect and sign in to your Jira account.
- Save the connection. You can reuse it in any workflow.
You can also manage the connection under Settings > Integrations.
Triggers
These start a workflow when something happens in Jira:
- New Issue
- Updated Issue
Actions
Your workflow can do these in Jira:
- Find Users, Projects, or Issues
- Create or Update Issue
- Add Comment
- Add Attachment
- Link Issues
- Assign or Transition Issue
Tips
- Test the trigger or action while you set it up so its data is available to later steps.
