Manus AI Triggers and Actions in Workflows

Manus is a task-based AI tool. Each task starts with a prompt, runs its own AI steps, and returns a result. You can continue a task later with more prompts. With the Manus integration, your workflows can create and manage these tasks and react when a task starts or stops.

Connect your Manus account

  1. In Manus, open your API settings and click Create New API Key.
  2. Copy the key.
  3. In your account, connect Manus from Settings > Integrations, or add a Manus trigger or action in a workflow and click Connect.
  4. Paste the key when prompted.

Triggers

| Trigger | When it fires | | --- | --- | | New Task Created | A new task is created by a workflow action. | | Task Stopped | A task stops or finishes. |
These triggers only fire for tasks that a workflow created. Tasks you start directly inside Manus won't trigger a workflow.

Actions

  • Create Task: start a new AI task with a prompt.
  • Get Task: look up a task's details and status.
  • Update Task: change a task's details or settings.
  • Fetch Tasks: get a list of tasks.
  • Delete Task: remove a task.
  • Continue Task With Prompt: send a follow-up prompt to an active task.

Use Manus in a workflow

  1. Go to Automation > Workflows and create or open a workflow.
  2. Click Add New Trigger, open the Apps tab and choose Manus AI with New Task Created or Task Stopped. Or start with any other trigger, such as Form Submitted.
  3. Click + and add a Manus action, such as Create Task.
  4. Write the prompt and insert contact or trigger data where you need it.
  5. Use the task output in later steps, such as an email, a note, or a custom field update.

Tip: save the task ID

When you create a task, save its task ID to a custom field. Later steps and other workflows can then use Get Task or Continue Task With Prompt on the same task.
