Split Action
The Split action divides contacts between paths at random, using percentages you choose. Use it to A/B test messages, offers, or timing and see which path performs best.
Set up a random split
- In your workflow, click + and choose Split from the Internal Tools group.
- Set Distribution Type to Random Split.
- Rename Path A and Path B so you can tell them apart.
- Set the percentage for each path, for example 60% and 40%. The total must be 100%.
- Add more paths if you need them, up to 5. Click the X next to a path to remove it.
- Add the actions for each path and save.
Check the results
Click the Statistics icon on the Split action to see how many contacts entered and finished each path, and how many reached your goals.
Good to know
Once a contact goes down a path, they stay on it. If they enter the workflow again, they take the same path as before.
