Vapi Triggers and Actions in Workflows
Vapi runs voice AI assistants. Connect it to start calls from workflows and act on call results.
Connect Vapi
- Go to Automation > Workflows and create or open a workflow.
- Add a trigger or action and search for Vapi.
- Click Connect and sign in to your Vapi account with your Vapi API key.
- Save the connection. You can reuse it in any workflow.
You can also manage the connection under Settings > Integrations.
Triggers
These start a workflow when something happens in Vapi:
- New Assistant
- New Call
- New File
Actions
Your workflow can do these in Vapi:
- Create a Call
- Create Chat
- Upload File
- Delete Call, Chat, or File Data
- Update Call Name
- Find Call
Tips
- Test the trigger or action while you set it up so its data is available to later steps.
