AI Decision Maker Action

The AI Decision Maker sends each contact down the right branch based on rules you write in plain language. You don't have to build long chains of If/Else conditions. The AI reads the contact's data and picks the branch.

Set it up

  1. Go to Automation > Workflows and open or create a workflow with a trigger, such as Contact Changed or Form Submitted.
  2. Click +, open AI Actions, and choose AI Decision Maker. Give it a clear name.
  3. In Instructions, describe how to route contacts. Use the tag icon to insert fields such as {{contact.tags}} or your custom fields so the AI checks real data.
  4. In Additional Context, add business rules, such as how you define small, medium, and large companies.
  5. Add branches with + New Branch. Give each a clear name, such as "High Priority – Sales," and a short description of who belongs there.
  6. Click Save Action, then add steps under each branch.

Example instructions

> Look at the contact's engagement score and company size. If the score is over 60 or they work at a large company, send them to Sales. If the score is 30 to 60 and the company is small or medium, send them to Email Nurture. If the score is under 30, send them to Re-engagement.

The Default Branch

Every AI Decision Maker has a Default Branch for contacts who don't fit any other branch, so nobody gets stuck. You can't rename or delete it.

Another use: spam checks

Send form details to the AI Decision Maker, ask it to label each submission as spam or genuine, and give it a few spam examples. Then create opportunities only on the genuine branch.

Tips

  • Always include the fields the AI needs to decide.
  • Keep branch descriptions short and specific.
