Email Verification Action
The Email Verification action checks a contact's email address before your workflow emails them. This helps cut bounces and protect your sending reputation. Add it before your Send Email steps.
Results
- Valid: the address passed and is likely safe to send to.
- Risky: the address may work but shows warning signs, such as a disposable or inactive address.
- Invalid: the address failed and shouldn't get email.
Before you start
- Email Verification must be turned on for your account.
- If a contact is excluded from verification, the step is skipped.
Set it up
- Open your workflow and add Email Verification after the trigger and before any email step.
- Add an If/Else step after it that uses the verification result. For example, branch on whether the email is verified.
- On the verified branch, add your Send Email steps.
- On the other branch, tag the contact, notify your team, turn on Do Not Disturb for email, or end the workflow.
- Save and test with a known good address and a bad one.
