Websites Overview
Websites are multi-page sites you build and publish from Sites. They use the same builder as funnels, with sections, rows, columns, elements, mobile editing, preview, save, and publish.
Websites or funnels?
| | Website | Funnel | | --- | --- | --- | | Structure | Pages visitors can browse freely | Steps in a set order | | Best for | Business sites, service pages, information | Lead capture, booking, sales, campaigns | | Split testing | Not available | Available |
Manage your pages
The Pages tab keeps all your pages in one place. From there you can open a page in the builder, preview it, manage page settings and products, and reorder pages.
To reorder pages:
- Go to Sites > Websites and open the website.
- Open the Pages tab.
- Click and hold a page card, then drag it to its new spot.
- Let go. The new order saves automatically. If it can't save, the old order comes back and you'll see an error.
The builder at a glance
| Area | What it's for | | --- | --- | | Sections, rows, columns, and elements | Build and arrange content. Move, copy, delete, and style elements. | | Layers and Pages | Move through nested content and switch pages while you edit. | | Typography and Background | Set fonts, text, links, colors, and backgrounds for the page. | | Tracking Code and Custom CSS | Add tracking scripts or custom styles. | | Mobile and desktop controls | Check layouts and hide or adjust items per device. | | Versions, Preview, Save, and Publish | Restore earlier versions, test, save drafts, and go live. |
Save keeps your changes as a draft. Publish makes them live for visitors.
Build a website
1. Create it
- Go to Sites > Websites.
- Click + New Website.
- Choose From Blank or From Templates.
- Name the website and click Create.
2. Add pages. Create the pages you need with clear names and paths. Use the Pages tab to keep them in order.
3. Build each page. Add sections and elements, then update text, images, buttons, forms, and navigation. Check fonts, spacing, backgrounds, and any global sections. Use Preview to test links.
4. Check mobile and SEO. Switch between desktop and mobile views and adjust anything that looks off. Add a page title, meta description, and other SEO settings to each page.
5. Connect a domain and publish.
- Connect the root domain or subdomain you want to use.
- Check the website is set on that domain with the right default page.
- Save your latest changes.
- Preview and test navigation, forms, buttons, and mobile layouts.
- Click Publish.
