Meeting Google and Yahoo Email Sender Requirements

Google and Yahoo require bulk senders to authenticate their email and keep spam complaints low. Use this checklist to stay compliant.

1. Use a branded sending domain

Set up a dedicated sending domain in Settings → Email Services. It improves control over your reputation and shows your brand in the inbox. Plan for a gradual warm-up of 2–4 weeks after you enable it.

2. Publish DMARC

Add a DMARC TXT record for your domain. Start with v=DMARC1; p=none; and tighten the policy once all your mail passes.

3. Keep your brand consistent

The From domain should match your website and the domain you authenticated.

4. Don't send as gmail.com

Never use a Gmail or Yahoo address as the From address for bulk mail through another service. It fails DMARC and will be rejected.

5. Make unsubscribing easy

Include a one-click unsubscribe link in every marketing email and honor requests within two days. FunnelStreams adds the required headers when unsubscribe links are on.

6. Keep spam complaints low

Keep your spam rate below 0.3% at all times, and ideally below 0.1%.
