Bot Detection for Email Opens and Clicks

What it does

Many corporate email systems scan links and open emails automatically before a person sees them. That can inflate your stats and trigger automations by mistake. Bot detection identifies those automated interactions and:
  1. Doesn't count them in open and click statistics, so your numbers reflect real people.
  2. Doesn't run automations (such as "email opened" or "link clicked" triggers) for them.

Turn it on or off

The setting is off by default.
  1. Go to Settings → Business Profile.
  2. Find the bot detection setting for email statistics and automations.
  3. Turn it on and save.

Good to know

  • It applies to emails sent through the built-in FunnelStreams email service.
  • Expect open and click rates to drop a little after you turn it on. That's the bot activity being removed.
