Verify Email Addresses During Contact Import
Why verify on import
Before, you had to finish an import, find the new contacts and run bulk validation separately. Now you can verify addresses as part of the import itself, so bad addresses never reach your campaigns.
Turn it on
- Go to Contacts and click Import.
- Upload your file and map the fields.
- On the final step, turn on Verify emails.
- Finish the import.
Track progress
Go to Contacts → Bulk Actions. The import and the verification each appear as a job with their progress and results.
Act on the results
Each contact's email is marked deliverable, undeliverable or unknown. To work with invalid addresses:
- Filter contacts by Email verification status is Undeliverable.
- Save the filter as a Smart List.
- Remove those contacts from campaigns or update their email.
Good to know
Verification can carry a usage charge. Check your billing settings before verifying large lists.
