Enable Email Validation
What email validation does
Email validation checks whether an address can receive email, for example that the domain exists, the mailbox is real and the address isn't a known risk. Sending only to valid addresses keeps bounces low and protects your reputation.
Turn it on
- Go to Settings → Email Services.
- Turn on Email Validation.
How it works
- Before an email is sent, FunnelStreams validates the address if it hasn't been validated recently.
- Invalid addresses are skipped and marked on the contact.
- You can see the result and validation date on the contact's email field.
- You can also validate a list in bulk from Contacts using a bulk action.
When to validate
- Before your first campaign to an imported list
- When you haven't emailed a list in a few months
- When bounce rates start to rise
Good to know
Validation works with the built-in FunnelStreams email service. Validation can carry a usage charge, so check your billing settings before validating large lists.
