Email Risk Assessment Tool
What it does
The Risk Assessment tool checks a batch of addresses, such as an import, and shows how risky the list is before you send. Use it to clean a list and avoid bounces.
Run an assessment
- Import contacts or select contacts in Contacts.
- Choose the bulk action to validate the emails.
- Open the Risk Assessment tab to see the results.
Read the results
- Deliverable: addresses that can receive mail. Safe to send to.
- Undeliverable: addresses that don't exist or will bounce. Remove them.
- Unknown: the server didn't give a clear answer (for example catch-all domains). Send to these carefully, ideally to engaged contacts only.
- Import name: the import or batch the result belongs to.
- Created at: when the assessment ran. Re-check older lists before reusing them.
Tips
- If undeliverable is above a few percent, clean the list before sending.
- Create a Smart List of undeliverable contacts so you can remove them in one step.
- The tool works with the built-in FunnelStreams email service.
