Add Your Own Email Service (SMTP)
Overview
FunnelStreams sends email through its built-in email service by default. You can connect your own SMTP provider instead, such as Gmail, Outlook, SendGrid or Amazon SES.
Add a service
- Go to Settings → Email Services.
- Open the SMTP Service tab.
- Click Add Service and choose your provider, or Other for a custom SMTP server.
- Enter the details from your provider:
- SMTP host and port (usually 587)
- Username and password (or API key / app password)
- From email and From name
- Click Save.
Make it active
- In the services list, find your new service.
- Click the menu and choose Set as default.
- Send a test email to confirm it works.
Good to know
- Some features, such as email validation, forwarding and some deliverability tools, only work with the built-in FunnelStreams email service.
- Turn on Reply Tracking so replies still appear in Conversations.
- Your provider's sending limits apply.
- If emails fail, check that the From address is verified with your provider.
