Instagram Direct Integration
Connect your Instagram professional account directly to manage Instagram DMs in Conversations and use them in workflows. You don't need to go through a Facebook Page.
- Instagram accounts already connected through a Facebook Page keep working.
- The direct connection is shared with the Social Planner. Connect once and it works in both.
Connect for the first time
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- On the Instagram card, click Connect.
- Log in to Instagram and allow access.
If Instagram is connected through a Facebook Page
- Go to Settings > Integrations and click Manage on the Instagram card.
- You'll see the accounts connected through Facebook Pages and whether messaging is on for each.
- Click Add Account and log in to connect the account directly.
Switching to a direct connection
If the same account is connected both ways, both show in the Manage window.
- Turning on messaging for the direct connection turns it off for the Page-based one, so you don't get duplicate messages.
- Only one connection receives messages at a time.
- Your past conversations stay in place.
Tips
- Use a Business or Creator Instagram account. Personal accounts can't connect.
- In the Instagram app, go to Settings and activity > Messages and story replies > Message requests and turn on Allow access to connected tools.
