Two-Way Email Sync With Gmail and Outlook

Two-way sync connects your own Gmail or Outlook inbox. Emails you send to contacts from FunnelStreams show in your mail's Sent folder, and replies you get in Gmail or Outlook show in Conversations.

Connect

  1. Go to Settings > Profile. You'll only see the Profile tab in accounts you're a user in.
  2. Find Email two-way sync.
  3. Choose Gmail or Outlook and click Connect.
  4. Sign in and allow all the permissions.
Your inbox now shows as connected.

How the sync starts

Gmail syncs when:
  • You email a contact from FunnelStreams, or
  • A contact already in FunnelStreams emails your Gmail address.
Outlook syncs once you've started the thread from FunnelStreams (sent the first email).

What syncs

  • One-to-one emails between you and your contacts.
  • Replies, in the same thread.
  • Bulk emails and workflow emails are sent through your normal email setup and aren't synced to your inbox.

Sending limits

Gmail limits how many emails you can send per day, about 500 for a personal Gmail account and more for paid Google accounts. Emails over the limit fail until it resets.

Change or disconnect

In Settings > Profile, use Update to switch to another email account, or Disconnect to stop syncing.

BCC address

You can also use your account's BCC address. BCC it on emails you send from your mail app to log them on the contact.

FAQ

Will all my Gmail contacts sync? No. Only emails with people who are already contacts sync. New senders don't become contacts automatically.
Will disconnecting delete emails? No. Emails already synced stay in Conversations. New emails stop syncing.
How are CC'd people handled? The email is saved on the contacts in the thread who exist in your account.
I'm a user in more than one account with the same inbox. Connect it in each account. Emails sync to the account where the contact exists.
