Register Your A2P Campaign with the Chat Widget Setup

The chat widget setup is a guided way to register your A2P campaign. Answer a few questions and a consent chat widget is created for your website, with the required disclosures built in.

What the guided flow does for you

  • Filters use cases to match the messaging type you choose.
  • Flags conflicts: if you choose marketing and your messages involve financial services or loans, you're asked to switch to informational.
  • Adds age checks: for age-gated, financial or loan-related content, a required date of birth field is added.
  • Builds the widget with your business name, how often you'll text, "Msg & data rates may apply", and STOP/HELP instructions. You can change only the colors and header text.
  • Shows a locked review screen with your consent fields, sample messages and opt-in method before you submit.

Before you start

  • Your A2P brand registration is approved or able to continue.
  • You have a live, public website for the same business you registered.
  • The site has a Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
  • You know whether your texts are marketing, informational or both.

Register your campaign

  1. Go to Settings → Phone System → Trust Center.
  2. After brand registration, campaign registration opens in Chat Widget Setup. If you already collect SMS consent another way, such as a website form, paper form or verbal opt-in, choose Manual Setup instead.
  3. Choose your messaging type:
  4. Marketing / Promotional: offers, ads, discounts and newsletters
  5. Informational / Non-Marketing: reminders, confirmations and service updates
  6. Mixed: both. The use case is set to Low Volume Mixed automatically.
  7. Answer the questions about your content, including financial, loan or age-gated topics.
  8. Preview the widget. For Mixed, check that it has two separate consent checkboxes, one for informational and one for marketing messages, and that neither is pre-checked.
  9. Copy the embed code and add it to the web page you confirmed during setup. The widget should be the only form on that page collecting SMS consent.
  10. Confirm your website meets the requirements: live and public, clearly your registered business, with contact details, a Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and the opt-in on the submitted page.
  11. Click Review Application to run the compliance check, then submit.
  12. Check your campaign's status under Campaigns.
Switched to Manual Setup and changed your mind? Select Chat Widget Setup from the campaign details step.

Before contacting support

  • Your brand is approved or able to continue.
  • The messaging type matches what you actually send.
  • For Mixed, the use case shows Low Volume Mixed and both checkboxes appear unchecked.
  • The widget is live on the submitted page, and no other form there collects SMS consent.
  • You've reviewed any compliance suggestions before resubmitting.
