Create Instagram Reels in Social Planner
Before you begin
- Connect an Instagram professional account. Reels can't be published to personal or creator accounts through Social Planner.
- Upload your images and videos to the media library.
Create a Reel
- Go to Marketing → Social Planner and click New Post.
- Under Publish, select your Instagram account.
- Choose Reels as the content type.
- Upload up to 10 images or videos.
- Click Post Now or Schedule for Later, or save as a draft.
Scheduled Reels appear in your Planner calendar, where you can edit them before they go out.
Supported content
- Format: MOV or MP4
- Size: up to 1 GB (thumbnail up to 8 MB)
- Aspect ratio: 9:16 recommended
- Length: 3 seconds to 15 minutes
FAQs
Can I use Reels with any Instagram account? No. Only professional accounts. The Reels option won't appear for other account types.
Can I schedule Reels? Yes. Choose Schedule for Later.
Is there a limit on how many Reels I can create? Social Planner doesn't set a limit, but Instagram's own posting limits apply.
