Agent Studio: Setting Up Triggers for Flow Agents
A trigger starts a Flow Agent automatically when something happens in your account. Triggers connect to the agent's Start node. Agents with existing triggers keep working as normal.
Trigger types
| Trigger | Starts the agent when | | --- | --- | | Form Submitted | One of the selected forms is submitted. | | Lead Tag | A selected tag is added to or removed from a contact. | | Chat Message | A new inbound message arrives on a connected chat channel. | | Workflows | A workflow calls the agent as one of its steps. |
Set up a trigger
- Go to AI Agents > Agent Studio.
- Open Flow Agents and click the agent.
- On the canvas, find the Start node.
- Choose the trigger type.
- Set the details, such as which forms or tags to watch.
- Save the trigger.
Test and publish
- Use the test panel to run the agent with sample data.
- Check each node's output.
- Click Publish. The trigger only fires for the published version.
Use filters on your trigger, such as specific forms or tags, so the agent only runs when you need it.
