Call Using Your Existing Phone Number
You can use a phone number you already own as the caller ID for outbound calls. You don't need to add a new number first.
Set it up
- Go to Settings > Phone System.
- Choose the option to use an existing phone number.
- Enter the number you own.
- Start the verification. You'll get a call with a code.
- Enter the code to confirm you own the number.
Place a call
- Open the dialer.
- If you see a Calling From list, choose your verified number.
- Enter a number or pick a contact.
- Place the call.
Good to know
- A verified number is used as caller ID for outbound calls. Inbound calls to that number still go to your current carrier.
- Outbound calls follow the same calling rules and compliance requirements as your other numbers.
- To receive calls and texts in your account, add a number in Phone System instead.
