How to Set Up Contact and Opportunity Triggers for Managed Agents

Managed Agents can run automatically when certain CRM events happen.

Available triggers

| Trigger | Runs the agent when | Filters | | --- | --- | --- | | Contact Created | A new contact is created. | None | | Opportunity Created | A new opportunity is created. | Pipeline, stage | | Opportunity Status Changed | An opportunity's status changes. | Pipeline, stage, status |

Ideas

  • Contact Created: research a new lead and draft a welcome message.
  • Opportunity Created: prepare a summary for the assigned sales rep.
  • Opportunity Status Changed: send a thank-you after a deal is won, or schedule a check-in after a deal is lost.

Add a trigger

  1. Go to AI Agents > Agent Studio and open the Managed Agent.
  2. In the Triggers row, click to add a trigger.
  3. Choose Contact Created, Opportunity Created, or Opportunity Status Changed.
  4. For opportunity triggers, set the pipeline, stage, and status filters.
  5. Save, test the agent, and publish.
Triggers only run on the published version of the agent. Use filters so the agent only runs for the records you care about.
