How to Use Custom Values in Managed Agent Instructions
Managed Agent instructions can include custom values and business profile details. When the agent runs, it uses the current value. Update the value once and every agent that uses it stays correct.
What you can insert
- Custom Values: reusable values you create under Settings > Custom Values, such as links, hours, or offers.
- Business details: information from your business profile, such as business name, address, phone, and website.
Insert a value
- Go to AI Agents > Agent Studio and open the Managed Agent.
- Click into the Instructions.
- Click Insert value in the Instructions header.
- Search the custom values or business details and choose one.
- Save and test the agent.
Tips
- Use custom values for anything you might change later, such as a booking link.
- Keep your business profile up to date in Settings > Business Profile.
- If a value is empty, the agent can't use it, so check your values before you publish.
