How Auto-Translated Greetings Work in Voice AI

When you change a Voice AI agent's language, its first greeting is translated into the new language automatically. Callers hear a greeting in the right language without you rewriting it.

How it works

  • It works when you create or edit an agent.
  • The translation happens when you change the agent's language.
  • The translated text appears in the Initial Greeting Message field.
  • You can review and edit it before you save.

Change the language

  1. Go to AI Agents > Voice AI and open the agent.
  2. Choose a new Language.
  3. Check the translated Initial Greeting Message.
  4. Edit it if needed, such as adding your business name or changing the tone.
  5. Save the agent.

Tips

  • Have a native speaker check the greeting if you can.
  • Update the rest of the agent's prompt and knowledge base for the new language too.
  • Test the agent with a call after changing the language.
