WhatsApp Voice Calling

WhatsApp Voice Calling lets your team place and receive voice calls right inside WhatsApp conversations. You don't need to move the customer to a phone call.
WhatsApp Voice Calling is in closed beta and works on the web app only for now.

Before you start

  • Connect a WhatsApp Business number to your account.
  • Turn on calling for the number in your WhatsApp settings.
  • Use a browser with microphone access.

Receive a call

  1. When a customer calls on WhatsApp, a call alert appears in your account.
  2. Click Answer.
  3. The call is logged in the conversation when it ends.

Place a call

  1. Open the contact's WhatsApp conversation in Conversations.
  2. Click the call icon.
  3. WhatsApp may ask the customer for permission to receive calls first.
  4. Start the call once permission is given.

Tips

  • Ask customers before calling them on WhatsApp.
  • Use WhatsApp calls for quick help when the customer is already chatting with you.
