Transfer a Domain Out of FunnelStreams
You can move a domain you bought in FunnelStreams, or transferred in, to another registrar. For most registrars, FunnelStreams checks that the domain is eligible, unlocks it, and emails you the authorization code. You then finish the transfer at the new registrar. Moving to Cloudflare works differently, and it's covered below.
A domain you bought somewhere else and only connected to FunnelStreams is still managed by that registrar. Transfer it from there.
When a domain can't be transferred yet
- It was registered or transferred in the last 60 days.
- The registrar or registry doesn't allow transfers for it right now.
- It's already being transferred.
If the domain isn't eligible, FunnelStreams tells you why. Fix that first, then try again.
.uk domains (.uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk) use a different process. Contact FunnelStreams support to transfer one.Transfer to another registrar
- Go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects.
- Click Manage next to the domain.
- Open the Advanced Settings tab and click Configuration.
- Click Transfer to Another Registrar. FunnelStreams runs an eligibility check.
- Choose the registrar you're moving to from the dropdown.
- If the domain is locked, unlock it.
- Click Get Code. FunnelStreams emails the authorization code (EPP code) to the domain's contact addresses. The screen shows those addresses partly hidden, but it doesn't show the code.
- Check those inboxes, including spam. If the code doesn't arrive, wait at least five minutes before asking for another one, and use the newest code.
- Sign in to the new registrar, start its transfer process, enter the domain and the code, and finish any payment, verification, or approval steps it asks for.
When the transfer is done, check that the domain shows in your new registrar account, then review its nameservers and DNS records and test your sites and email.
Getting the code doesn't move the domain by itself. The transfer only happens once you submit it at the new registrar.
Move a domain to your own Cloudflare account
Domains bought in FunnelStreams are registered through Cloudflare, so moving one to your own Cloudflare account is an account move, not a registrar transfer. You don't need an authorization code.
Get your Cloudflare account ready
- Sign in to the Cloudflare account you want the domain in.
- Go to + Add > Connect a domain and add the domain.
- Pick a plan. The Free plan works.
- Make sure all the DNS records you need are in that Cloudflare account. Cloudflare doesn't copy records during the move.
- Turn proxying off for every DNS record.
- Make sure DNSSEC is off.
You don't need to change nameservers during this step.
Start the move in FunnelStreams
- Go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects and click Manage next to the domain.
- Open Advanced Settings > Configuration and click Transfer to Another Registrar. (The domain stays with Cloudflare even though the button says "registrar.")
- If the domain is still inside its 60-day lock, you'll see the date it becomes eligible.
- Choose the option to move the domain to another Cloudflare account.
- Enter your Cloudflare Account ID and click Start transfer. You can find the Account ID in your Cloudflare dashboard. It's also the long string of letters and numbers in the dashboard's web address.
- You'll see Transfer has been initiated.
Accept the move in Cloudflare
- In the Cloudflare account, go to Domain Registration > Manage Domains.
- Find the domain and accept the pending move.
- Allow up to 24 hours. When it's done, the domain shows as Active.
Cloudflare may show Invalid Nameservers for a while after you accept. That's normal and usually clears within 24 hours.
After the move, the domain is removed from your FunnelStreams account, its FunnelStreams auto-renewal is canceled, and future renewals and billing happen in your Cloudflare account.
If the Cloudflare move won't start
- Transfer already in progress: only one pending move is allowed per domain. Accept it in Cloudflare, or let it expire, before starting another.
- Invalid Account ID: copy the ID again from the right Cloudflare account and retry.
- Domain not in the destination account: add it under + Add > Connect a domain, pick a plan, set up the DNS records, then retry.
FAQs

Do my DNS records come with the domain? Not automatically. Set up the records you need at the new registrar or Cloudflare account before you switch.
My FunnelStreams account was canceled. Can I still get my domain? Contact FunnelStreams support with the domain name and your account details, and they'll help you release or transfer it.
