How to Buy a Domain in FunnelStreams
You can search for and buy a domain right inside FunnelStreams, then use it for your funnels, websites, stores, webinars, and blogs. You don't need a separate account with a registrar, and you manage the domain in the same place as the sites that use it.
Already own a domain somewhere else? You can still connect it. See "How to Connect a New Domain to FunnelStreams." You can also move it into FunnelStreams with "Transfer a Domain Into FunnelStreams."
Domain purchases are final. They can't be refunded or canceled, so check the spelling and the number of years before you pay.
What's included
- Privacy protection. Every domain you buy comes with WHOIS privacy, so your personal details don't show up in public domain lookups.
- Multi-year registration. Register for more than one year up front so you don't have to renew every year.
- DNS in one place. Manage the domain's DNS records and connect it to your sites from Settings > Domains & URL Redirects.
- Renewal reminders. You get an email reminder 67 days before the domain expires, and a final notice 10 days after it expires if it lapses. These go out whether auto-renew is on or off.
Buy a domain
- Go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects.
- Click Purchase/Transfer Domain.
- Type the domain name you want. FunnelStreams shows whether it's available and may suggest alternatives.
- Find the domain you want and click Buy.
- Open the Pricing Option dropdown and choose how many years to register it. The price updates to match.
- Optional: under Protect Your Brand From Competitors — Grab These Extensions Too!, add up to three other endings, such as
.net,.org, or.uk. Each one starts at 1 year. Click its price to change the years, or use the delete icon to remove it. - Review your domains and years, check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions, and click Pay.
Registration usually takes about a minute. When it's done, you get a confirmation email with the domain name, the registration date, the account name, and the email address used for the purchase.
How much a domain costs
Pricing depends on the domain ending (
.com, .co, .ai, and so on) and how many years you choose. FunnelStreams shows the exact price before you pay, including any extra endings you add. Future renewals are charged at the standard rate for that ending at the time of renewal. How many years you can register
- Most endings can be registered for up to 10 years.
- The
.cofamily (.co,.com.co,.net.co,.nom.co) can be registered for up to 5 years. - If an ending renews at a different price than its first-year price, it can only be registered for 1 year at purchase. You can renew or extend it later.
Supported domain endings
Many common endings are available, including
.com, .net, .org, .co, .uk, and .church. The endings you see depend on the name you search for.Buy a domain from a funnel, website, store, or webinar
You can start a purchase from whatever you're building:
- In the Settings for a funnel, website, store, or webinar, click Purchase Domain.
- Or, in the builder, click Connect Domain, then choose Purchase Domain.
The domain purchase page opens in a new tab. Buy the domain there, then come back and connect it.
Add more endings to a domain you already own
- Go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects.
- Click Manage next to the domain.
- At the top of the page, click Buy Now on the banner that suggests matching endings.
- Choose the endings you want, check the Terms and Conditions box, and click Pay.
Each extra ending is its own domain with its own DNS records. Buying one doesn't change your main domain.
After you buy
Your new domain shows up under Purchased Domains in Settings > Domains & URL Redirects. Next, follow "Configure and Connect a Domain You Bought in FunnelStreams" to add DNS records or point it at a funnel, website, store, or blog.
FAQs
Can I get a refund if I mistyped the domain? No. Domain purchases are final and can't be refunded or canceled. Double-check before you click Pay.
Why can I only pick 1 year for some domains? Some endings don't allow longer first registrations, or renew at a different price than the first year. Those can only be bought for 1 year, and you can renew or extend later.
Does buying several years lock in my renewal price? Your upfront payment covers the years you chose. Renewals after that follow the standard rate at the time.
Can I move my domain somewhere else later? Yes. Once a domain has been registered for at least 60 days, you can transfer it to another registrar. See "Transfer a Domain Out of FunnelStreams."
