Error 30006: Landline or Unreachable Carrier
What this error means
Error 30006 means the destination number can't receive the message through the current messaging route. Most often the number is a landline, or the recipient's carrier can't be reached for that number type.
Common causes
- The destination is a landline.
- The number type doesn't support SMS.
- The recipient's carrier is unreachable.
- A short code or special number type can't be delivered through the destination carrier.
- The contact record has an outdated number.
How to fix it
- Confirm whether the number is a landline or a mobile number.
- If it's a landline, call the contact or use email instead.
- Ask the contact for a mobile number and update the record.
- Check that the number is current and formatted with the right country code.
- Re-send once you have a valid mobile number.
Prevention
Collect mobile numbers on forms where you plan to text, and route landline contacts to call or email steps in workflows.
