Error 30007: How to Prevent Carrier SMS Filtering
What is error 30007?
Error 30007 is a carrier-side error. It means the carrier filtered your message because of its content, sender identity, or compliance reasons. Messages are filtered when they:
- Violate a carrier's messaging policy.
- Look like spam or illegal traffic.
- Are missing compliance elements, such as consent or sender identification.
Carriers enforce these filters to protect consumers and meet regulations such as A2P 10DLC in the US. Enforcement is increasing, especially for traffic without clear opt-in, and for informational or promotional messages without opt-out instructions. Conversational messages that the contact started don't need STOP language in every reply.
How to prevent filtering
1. Get consent
- Only text people who explicitly opted in.
- Keep records of how and when each contact opted in.
2. Identify yourself
- Include your business name in the first message and in marketing messages.
3. Include opt-out instructions
- Add language such as "Reply STOP to unsubscribe" to promotional and informational messages.
4. Write clean content
- Avoid ALL CAPS, excessive punctuation, and spammy phrases.
- Use full branded links instead of public URL shorteners.
- Don't send prohibited content, such as cannabis, high-risk lending, or third-party lead generation.
5. Send consistently
- Match your messages to your registered A2P use case.
- Avoid sudden spikes in volume, and space out large campaigns.
If you're being filtered
- Review recent messages for the issues above.
- Edit templates and workflows to add sender ID and opt-out language.
- Remove contacts without clear consent.
- Send a small test before restarting campaigns.
- Contact support if filtering continues after you fix your content.
