A2P Opt-In Forms: Privacy Policy and Terms Guidelines
SMS programs must clearly explain how people consent, how they opt out and how their information is handled. Reviewers check these pages during A2P registration.
SMS Terms of Service
Include:
- Program name and description: your business and the messages people will receive.
- Opt-out instructions: recipients can reply STOP to unsubscribe.
- Rejoining instructions: how to subscribe again after opting out.
- Help instructions: reply HELP, or a support email or phone number.
- Carrier disclaimer: carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Message and data rates: message and data rates may apply.
- Message frequency: frequency varies (or a stated frequency).
- Privacy Policy link.
Privacy Policy
Your Privacy Policy should explain what you collect and how you use it, and include a clear statement such as:
> No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
On the opt-in form
- Link to both the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service near the consent checkbox.
- Make sure both pages are public and load without a login.
- Use the same business name on the form, the pages and your A2P brand.
