A2P Brand Registration: Step-by-Step Guide
Why registration is required
US carriers block A2P texts sent from unregistered 10-digit local numbers. If you send SMS to US numbers from local numbers, you must register an A2P brand and a campaign. Toll-free numbers use toll-free verification instead.
The Trust Center
The Trust Center (Settings → Phone System → Trust Center) is where you manage business identity and messaging registrations, including A2P brands and campaigns, toll-free verification and caller ID trust products.
Before you start
Have these ready:
- Legal business name exactly as registered, and your EIN (US) or local business registration number.
- Business type, industry and registered address.
- A live website for the business.
- An authorized representative's name, title, email and phone number.
Sole proprietors without an EIN can register with the sole proprietor option, which has lower limits.
How to register your brand
- Go to Settings → Phone System → Trust Center and start A2P registration.
- Choose the brand type that matches your business.
- Enter your business details and authorized representative.
- Review everything carefully, then submit.
- Watch the brand status. When it's approved, continue to campaign registration.
Tips
- Match the legal name and EIN to IRS records exactly.
- Use a business email on your own domain.
- See A2P 10DLC Brand Approval Best Practices before you submit.
- Carrier fees may apply to brand registration.
