How RCS Registration Works
What RCS is
Rich Communication Services (RCS) lets businesses send branded, interactive messages, with your logo, verified name, rich cards and suggested replies, to supported Android and iOS devices.
Before you can send RCS messages, your sender must be registered and verified.
Two-part registration
1. Google RCS registration
Required for every business, in every country. You'll provide:
- Business information: legal name, website, logo, brand color and a short description.
- Authorized representative: a person at the business who can confirm the registration.
- Opt-in and opt-out information: where people opt in (website form, booking page or registration form) and how they opt out.
- Messaging use case: for example notifications, customer care or promotions, with sample messages.
2. Country-specific registration
Some countries require an additional carrier review. Your sender can only message recipients in a country after that country's review is approved.
How long it takes
Reviews usually take from several days to a few weeks, depending on the country and how complete your submission is.
Tips for approval
- Use a logo and name that match your website.
- Make your opt-in process public and easy to verify.
- Provide sample messages that match your use case.
