KYC Verification Best Practices

What KYC verification is

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification confirms the real person responsible for the account's phone service. It's done through a secure identity-verification partner (Persona). It doesn't replace A2P 10DLC, toll-free verification, CNAM or SHAKEN/STIR.

Verify before it's required

You can verify early so later number purchases and registrations aren't delayed:
Settings → Phone System → Additional Settings → KYC Verification → Complete Verification

Best practices

You have 10 attempts

Each user gets up to 10 attempts. Check your details and documents before submitting. Use a clear, uncropped ID photo, and make sure your name matches your registration details exactly.

Avoid "Session Expired"

This usually means the session wasn't finished, for example because the tab was closed or refreshed. Once you start, stay on the page until every step is done. If you still see it after 24 hours, contact support.

Use good lighting and a supported ID

Use a valid government-issued photo ID, in good light, with no glare.

Use the right person

The person verifying should be the one responsible for the account.
