Phone Number Change Security Alerts and Reversal
Why it matters
Your profile phone number can be used for login security codes and account recovery, so changes to it are security-sensitive.
How alerts work
- When a phone number is added to your profile, you get a security notification.
- When an existing number is changed, the alert includes a single-use reversal link that restores your previous number.
If you didn't make the change
- Open the security alert.
- Click the reversal link to restore your previous phone number.
- Change your password.
- Review your two-factor authentication settings.
- Let your account admin know.
The reversal link works once and expires after a set period. If it has expired, contact your admin or support.

- Keep your profile email current so you receive alerts.
- Use two-factor authentication on your login.
